LDF’s “Welcome to the flipside” campaign has been award Marketing Campaign of the Year at the Credit Awards 2018.
The Credit Awards is the flagship event for the UK’s credit industry, recognising and rewarding hard work and best practice. Now in its 19th year, the Awards took place at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel and were hosted by comedian Katherine Ryan.
Selected by a panel of 23 industry experts, LDF, who were also finalists for SME Lender of the Year, held off strong competition from Virgin Money to pick up the award.
The judges added that:
LDF’s entry had a very clear return on investment and helped businesses access credit, with clear evidence of success.
A very well-run campaign with a real-world impact and practical application.
The “Welcome to the flipside” campaign was launched in 2017 and focused on how LDF reduce the bureaucracy in business finance and help the UK’s smaller businesses grow. Featuring a range of upside down characters, the campaign demonstrated how LDF has flipped finance on its head.
The campaign took on board the frustrations that business owners have in sourcing finance through traditional means, and showed how LDF work hard to eliminate the red tape from our own processes and pass on the benefits to our customers in the form of fast, simple and convenient business loans.

It’s the second time that the Flipside campaign has been recognised after being Highly Commended at the Financial Services Forum, Marketing Effectiveness Awards.
