"LDF has helped us to make the most of opportunities that would otherwise have been missed."
Richard Baxter, Owner, The Internet Gardener
The Internet Gardener launched as a specialist garden and home retailer online 11 years ago. In that time, they’ve seen customer demand go from strength to strength, supporting the more recent addition of a showroom in Nottingham, enabling customers to explore a wide range of our products in a more traditional setting and helping them meet the needs of two, very different customer audiences.
As a retail business subject to seasonal fluctuations, big investments can often fall at quieter times, The Internet Gardener needed to find a way to spread these costs.
LDF helped in several ways, predominantly supporting The Internet Gardener with business loans to allow them to make the most of opportunities that would otherwise have been missed.
LDF helped with several specific projects, from the purchase of garden furniture containers, taking advantage of out of season discounts, to the extension of their existing Nottingham showroom, letting The Internet Gardener maximise pre-season stock levels and increasing their sales volume as a result.
Richard Baxter, owner of The Internet Gardener explains. "We see finance as a catalyst for our business, supporting new opportunities that we may not otherwise have planned for or been able to otherwise deliver, helping us to do things sooner or to greater business benefit."
We could not have been happier. Banks as usual were a nightmare - they took over six weeks to eventually refuse for vague reasons unexplained. LDF were professional, helpful, friendly, and best of all, fast.
